Being a mom is challenging. You wonder what you used to do with your free time, because you have little to no free time now. You sacrifice sleep just for a little alone time… which is usually used to cook or clean up. You can’t just “run out real quick,” to grab something at the store without packing snacks or lollipops to prevent the inevitable melt down.
Maybe these things aren’t true for some moms, but they all certainly apply to my life as a mom. …But I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. The hugs, the smiles, the giggles, and watching my daughter grow and learn every day fills me with so much love and joy. Being a mom is the most important, most fulfilling job I’ve ever had. I love being a mom.
Before I became a mom, I was a dog mom. Charlie prepared me for motherhood in so many ways. He taught me to be more patient. He eased me into the responsibility of caring for someone else who depends on you. He showed me that I would forever put someone else’s needs before my own. I know now that this was part of his purpose. Being a dog mom was so important to me, and although Ralphie is still finding his place and growing on us, being a dog mom is still important.
Happy Mother’s Day to the dog moms who don’t see children in picture any time soon. Enjoy this time, and explore with your dog as much as you can!
Happy Mother’s Day to the dog mom who doesn’t want human children. Don’t let people get to you! There is nothing wrong with not wanting kids!
Happy Mother’s day to the dog mom who can’t have children. The love and care you give to your dog shows what a great mom you are. Loving a dog is a beautiful way to live. Your roll as a dog mom is just as meaningful as every other mom.
Happy Mother’s Day to the dog mom struggling to get pregnant, who was dreading the Mother’s Day posts all over social media. I was once you. Never give up, or lose hope. Let your dog be a furry shoulder to cry on. You’ve probably realized that you need your dog as much as he/she needs you. I hope you celebrated the day as a dog mom, because you deserve it.
Before I became a mom, I was a dog mom. Being a dog mom made me proud, and you all should be proud too! Happy Mother’s Day to all of the strong, proud mamas and dog mamas out there!
